What is a Reflexology Massage?
Reflexology massage is a non-intrusive foot massage based on a theory that different points on the feet correspond with different parts of the body. It involves the application of pressure to specific reflex points on the feet (or hands) with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. The treatment aims to help the body ease congestion or tension, and restore imbalances naturally. It is recognized by many, as a well established, complementary therapy which can assist orthodox medicine.
It may be used for both relaxing and stimulating the mind and body.

What to expect During Reflexology
During your treatment your therapist will gently cleanse your feet before the massage begins, then applying pressure to specific points (reflex zones), paying particular attention to areas of concern, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your well-being.
The sensitivity of the feet varies from person to person, please discuss any discomfort with your therapist. However, any degree of tenderness does usually indicate the degree of imbalance in that area. At the end of your session your therapist will discuss anything they have found during your treatment and advise any home-care advice if required.
