What is an Aromatherapy Massage?
Aromatherapy massage treatments use essential oils derived from plants for their therapeutic properties. During your treatment; the therapist applies a variety of massage techniques that are tailored to your needs, promoting deep relaxation of the body, mind and spirit, the aroma from the oils chosen can trigger a therapeutic effect stimulating the senses whilst also enhancing your well-being.
Aromatherapy massage can be suitable for everyone (skin test maybe required) but can be especially beneficial for people who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression and sleeping disorders and many other health conditions.
Benefits of Aromatherapy Massage
A tantalising aroma of essential oils blended to your requirements…
Aromatherapy is fast gaining in momentum in the UK and becoming a popular form of alternative therapy. Essential oils are used in aromatherapy to treat a variety of bodily ailments, to treat pain relief, mood enhancement (uplifting or relaxing), and also to enhance cerebral function. The inhaled aroma from essential oils is strongly believed to stimulate brain function, thus enhancing psychological and physical well-being, essential oils are also absorbed through the skin throughout the treatment, and where possible it is recommended not to shower or bath for a further 6-8 hours after the treatment in order to gain the maximum benefits from essential oils.
What to expect During Your Aromatherapy Massage
At Create Your Beauty we take great pride by only using 100% natural (and where possible) organic quality essential oils of the highest grade during our treatments. We carry a wide range of to chose from, each unique with its own healing properties. We always offer our new client’s a free health consultation, the information collected will then help us decide which essential oils would be most beneficial to you. We also offer free aftercare service too.
For client’s that have not experienced aromatherapy before, we strongly recommend a skin patch test at least 24hours before your first treatment, as some people with sensitive skin types can have a reaction to certain types of essential oils, particularly nut allergies! Always consult your Doctor first if you are not sure!
